Customizing Profile Picture in MS Lync 2010

Improve the user experience in your communication in Lync by customizing your profile picture. It also assist in developing a self-branding strategy when you interact with others in Lync.

I am only going to share with you on the option of “Show a picture from a web address”
1. Browse to a webpage where you would like to select a preferred picture
2. Right click on the picture and select Properties
3. Copy the URL link of the picture

4. Go to MS Lync and click the Picture icon

5. Paste the copied link in the text box under “Show a picture from a web address” and select Connect to Picture.

6. Once the preferred image is connected and displayed in the thumbnail, select OK to confirm the changes

Internet Explorer add-on for Joining Online Meeting

When you click on “Join online meeting” in an online meeting invite, an Internet Explorer window opens and then a new conversation begins using MS Lync 2010. This add-on in Internet Explorer needs to be enabled to join the online meeting.
